CONGRATULATIONS!!!

You are officially one of the shortlisted contestants to compete in the regional final of Miss Model of Scotland 2009. You and your fellow contestants will be competing not only for the title of Miss Model of Scotland 2009 but for a place in the national final of Miss Model of Great Britain 2009. This is a chance to represent your country during an all expense paid 3 week trip to China to compete in the International model search Miss Model of the World 2009.

In order to find a young lady to represent Scotland in the national final for Great Britain, we will be holding an event in Glasgow.

During this event all contestants will be judged on their beauty, deportment and personality. The national final will take place at

All contestants will need to bring with them:

 Swimwear of their choice.
 An evening gown of your choice
 Shoes and accessories for all of the above
 Comfortable clothes for rehearsals
 Make-up and hair accessories
 Dressing gown






Sponsorship

To enter the Miss Model of Great Britain model search all contestants must find a minimum sponsorship fee of £30. This cannot be paid by; the sponsorship can come from raising money for a charity of their choice or the contestant’s friends and family or by a company in return for advertisement. (Please see below)

Companies who wish to sponsor contestants will receive a Funky Secrets LTD sponsorship package. This will consist of:

• Acknowledgement by the compare whilst the contestant is on the stage.
• The ability to promote the company at the event using flyers etc.
• The sponsor may us their contestant for promotions on at least one occasion.

If contestants wish to pay their sponsorship fee by cheque, this must be sent to the Funky Secrets office no later than 10 days before the event takes place. Contestant can also pay their sponsorship fee on the day of the event but this must be paid by cash and handed in at registration.

PLEASE NOTE: For those who are new to the world of beauty pageants, this sponsorship cost is a standard one off fee. If you research into other beauty pageants you will find that our sponsorship fee is the lowest as we try our best to keep all costs down for our contestants.









Awards

All contestants will take to the catwalk in swimwear and evening wear. After an interval, contestants will be short listed to the top 12 who will be interviewed onstage. After another interval, three contestants will be given a place in the national final by being awarded titles for:


• Miss Charity (contestant who raises the most funds for Make a Wish Foundation, charity form attached)
• Miss Personality (chosen by fellow contestants)
• Miss Photographic (chosen by Funky Secrets Event and Model Management)

Also, Miss Model of Scotland winner, 2nd place and 3rd place will be given a place in the national final which will be held in September 2009.

Schedule

12 noon – Contestants arrive at the venue for rehearsals

1.30pm – Break for lunch

2.30pm – Return to venue for rehearsals

5.00pm – Contestants prepare for the show

7.00pm – Photo shoot with all contestants

7.30pm – Guests arrive

8.00pm – Show starts

11.00pm – Winners are crowned

Live acts will also be performing, during the breaks.









“Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. Since being established in the UK in 1986, we have granted over 4,900 wishes.
Make-A-Wish has no cures to offer and all too often some of our endings are sad but, during desperate times when there seems to be no hope, Make-A-Wish steps in and provides positive and uplifting relief. Most of all, a wish granted brings a time of magic and joy for the special children and families we serve.”
We are asking all finalists to raise money for our chosen charity (no amount is too small). The contestant who raises the most funds will be awarded Miss Charity and will be guaranteed a place in the top 15 and given the opportunity to show the panel of judges their personality.
